What to Expect

What to expect at West Lisbon

Where do I go when I arrive?

Sunday School for all ages meets during the school year (approx. Sept. - May). Classes start at 9:00 AM. Kids meet in the Sanctuary for a short warm-up/song, then go to their classrooms. Adults meet in the Fellowship Hall, Gym or Conference Room.

Before the worship service, there is a fellowship time in the Fellowship Hall between 9:45 AM and 10:15 AM. Coffee and donuts (and milk and juice for the kids) are provided.

Sunday Worship Service starts at 10:15 AM in the Sanctuary and lasts about an hour. We open with some announcements followed by some praise through singing of modern worship songs and also traditional hymns and there will be teaching from the Bible that you can apply to your life. We usually end with a hymn or song and a benediction.

What should I wear?

You will see diverse clothing attire on Sundays; you could see everything from a suit and tie to T-shirts and jeans and you may even see someone wearing shorts year round.

Can my kids come?

Absolutely! You are welcome to bring your kids with you to the main Worship Service. They are welcome to stay for the entire service.  For your convenience, there is a changing station located in each of the restrooms.

Plenty of parking is available at West Lisbon, including several handicap accessible spaces. An elevator is available for individuals that are unable to use the stairs leading up to the sanctuary. Restrooms and the Fellowship Hall are all located on the first floor of the building.
