What to Expect

What to expect at West Lisbon

(Updated 2/4/2021)  WLC is currently holding in-person worship services and Sunday School for all ages. Please familiarize yourself with our re-opening guidelines here: http://westlisbon.com/church-updates/

Sunday Worship Service starts at 9:00 am and will be held in the sanctuary. Children’s Church is currently suspended. To help make everyone comfortable, masks and hand sanitizer will be made available, and seating is limited to every other pew.

The church nursery is now open during Sunday worship service! Parents of children 3 years and younger have volunteered to staff the nursery on a rotating basis. If you are a parent of a little and interested in volunteering, please contact the church office and we'll put you in touch with our Nursery Director, Christy Steffens.

We will also be live-streaming the Sunday worship service in the Fellowship Hall. Families have the option to gather for worship service together in the sanctuary or at the tables in the Fellowship Hall.

Sunday school for all ages starts immediately following Sunday worship and will be held for approximately 30 min., from 10:10am - 10:40am.  Sunday School Classrooms are as follows:

  • Preschool: Room 2
  • Kindergarten: Room 3
  • 1st grade: Room 5
  • 2nd grade: Room 1
  • 3rd grade: Room 4
  • 4th grade: Sanctuary Classroom
  • 5th grade: Church Library
  • Jr. High: Fireside Room
  • High School: Youth Room
  • Adults: Fellowship Hall

Pray that God will use this time to strengthen and encourage our church. We look forward to seeing you!

Where do I go when I arrive?

Sunday Worship Service starts at 9:00 AM in the Sanctuary and lasts about an hour. We open with some announcements followed by some praise through singing of modern worship songs and also traditional hymns and there will be teaching from the Bible that you can apply to your life. We usually end with a hymn or song and a blessing or benediction.

From September thru May, we offer Sunday School classes immediately following the worship service for all ages.

What should I wear?

You will see diverse clothing attire on Sundays; you could see everything from a suit and tie to T-shirts and jeans.

Can my kids come?

Absolutely! You are welcome to bring your kids with you to the main Worship Service. They are welcome to stay for the entire service.  For your convenience, there is a changing station located in each of the restrooms.

Plenty of parking is available at West Lisbon, including many handicap accessible spaces. An elevator is available for individuals that are unable to use the stairs leading up to the sanctuary. Restrooms and the Fellowship hall are all located on the first floor of the building.

Feel free to contact the Church Office with any questions!

Thank you for planning a visit to WLC!
