What to expect at West Lisbon
Where do I go when I arrive?
Sunday School is for all ages and starts at 9:00 AM and lasts about an hour. The adult classes meet in the gymnasium, fellowship hall and conference room. Children's classes start by meeting up in the sanctuary (#openingexercises). Then the teachers will take their students to their classrooms downstairs (4th and 5th grade meet in the sanctuary classroom).
Even if you can't make it to Sunday School, you are more than welcome to join us from 10:00 AM - 10:30 AM in the Fellowship Hall for some good fellowship and snacks -- usually a variety of delicious pastries and beverages.
Worship Service starts at 10:30 AM in the sanctuary and lasts about one hour and 15 minutes. First, there are announcements about "what's happening" at WLC, then some singing, and then you'll hear some teaching that you can apply to your life. We usually end with a hymn and a blessing.
What should I wear?
You will see diverse clothing attire on Sundays; you could see everything from a suit and tie to T-shirts and jeans.
Can my kids come?
Absolutely! Nursery care is provided every Sunday during both Sunday School and Worship Service. Stop by the Church Office or ask the greeters about Children’s Church or Nursery care. They will help you figure out where your kids will go and when. If you are hesitant to let your kids head to the children’s program alone, that is totally fine! You are welcome to take a tour of the children's classrooms to get better acquainted with our Children’s Ministry, or you can bring your kids with you to the main Worship Service. They are welcome to stay for the entire service.
For your convenience, there is a changing station located in each of the restrooms.
