Sunday January 9th, 2022 - We are cancelling Sunday School this morning due to the icy road conditions. Worship Service will be held at the usual time at 10:15 am. Ushers will be available to help those who may need assistance from their cars.
It was a joy to celebrate the birth of Jesus with those of you who could join us at the Christmas Eve service last night. While the evening held a few moments of miscommunication and wasn't a seamless production, we were blessed with the presence of the body of Christ (our church family) and the joy of celebrating God's work to adopt us into His family.
In that way, it was probably much like the first Christmas night in the stable two thousand years ago. The stone trough was rough, the smell of animals very present, and it was a far cry from what we would have picked for the birth of our Savior - yet in the midst of that very organic setting God fulfilled His promise of salvation.
May the knowledge of your adoption into the Father's family bring you true hope this Christmas season, no matter what setting you find yourself in.
